The first step in testing is to create a certificate and add distribution boards to the certificate. The certificate is created by the test engineer on the EDIS system. After the certificate is created the text engineers can download the certificate into an excel sheet, print a draft PDF or use the mobile app to capture the test information.
Any observations and recommendations captured by the test engineers are immediately included in the actions required list that the build manager can use to plan and track the remedial works associated with the certificate.
The electrical testing results in an electrical certificate – completing the certificate will update the distribution board schedule details and the circuit details. Specifically, the circuit last/next test dates are updated. The last/ next test date is an important input into the electrical compliance reporting.
